Consulting Actuary, Shina Fritz, ACAS, MAAA

Shina is excited to bring her talent and expertise to Rate Making & Product Development at Huggins.  Shina has more than 30 years of actuarial experience working with insurance carriers both large and small. Her experience ranges from commercial and personal lines pricing and filings, reinsurance pricing, and commercial reserving. Working with company underwriters and managers, she has provided pricing and book reviews.

Shina has managed teams to perform and review rate testing, book analysis, and state rate filings. Synthesizing reserving, claim, and underwriting data, she has provided insights for business decisions. For smaller companies, Shina has provided reserve reviews and the needed data for external auditors and consultants. She has worked with IT and claims departments to help build databases, reports, and interfaces.

Shina has worked with brokers and underwriters in pricing large accounts and reinsurance treaties. She completed data reporting forms and addressed questions from industries as various as NCCI, ISO, and AM Best.

The lines of business Shina has worked on includes Homeowners, Workers Compensation (WC), General Liability, Commercial Auto, Commercial Property, Crop Insurance, and Reinsurance. She has extensive experience in rate filings, notably WC and Homeowners.  She has worked with state insurance departments to review filings and deal with objections or concerns.

Shina’s strengths in ratemaking and data analysis enable her to help companies assess their book and pricing needs.
