Chandu C. Patel, FCAS, MAAA, and consulting actuary at Huggins, will be speaking at the upcoming Casualty Actuaries of the Mid-Atlantic Region (CAMAR) Fall 2017 Meeting on November 30.  His presentation will discuss the impact of the Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet (EBS) regulations and requirements that were implemented January 1, 2016 for most large insurers and insurance groups.  The session will cover the evolution of the EBS regulations, components of the technical provisions, the new opinion requirements, and the corresponding actuarial challenges.
